How we check

We show only what a firm publishes about itself or what appears in an official register, with the source and the date. We don't rate quality and we don't sell positions.

Where the data comes from

  • The firm's official website: name, address, phone, services, opening hours and prices. We read up to 5 pages per site (contacts, services, prices) and respect robots.txt.
  • Official registers: for example the search of contracted providers of NHIF (the National Health Insurance Fund) and the Commercial Register, when a fact needs that kind of check.
  • Open place datasets (Overture Maps, Foursquare Open Source Places): only to find out that a firm exists. The facts are then checked against its website.
  • The firms themselves, when they confirm or correct their profile. A correction is evidence that we check, not an automatic right to publish.

We don't copy descriptions, photos or reviews from other directories.

How we check

  1. We record every fact together with the address of the page, a short quote and the date.
  2. The automatic check opens the page again and looks for the value in its text. If it doesn't find it, the fact isn't shown.
  3. A firm is shown only if we have a confirmed phone number or e-mail.
  4. Facts go out of date: contacts and addresses after 90 days, hours and prices after 30 days. Out-of-date data is checked again or hidden.

What the labels mean

  • "Checked …": the date on which the automatic check confirmed the data against the source.
  • "Register of NHIF · …", "Register of the Notary Chamber · …": the data comes from the public register and was checked against it on that date. Medical providers in the NHIF register have a contract with the National Health Insurance Fund.
  • "Collected … · awaiting check": the data has been collected but hasn't passed the automatic check yet.
  • "Not confirmed": the firm doesn't state this publicly. It doesn't mean "no".
  • "Partner", "Paid placement": firms we have a commercial or editorial relationship with. See Partnerships and ownership.

Order

Listings with more published data come first (own website, prices, opening hours, online booking), then all others in alphabetical order. Nobody pays for a position. Paid placements, if there are any, sit in a separate, labelled box above the list and don't change its order.
